As part of the Protection Policy ZEST has appointed an Information Officer, who, among other responsibilities, accepts complaints and reports from the Data Subjects, provides clarifications and takes the necessary measures, besides being the central point of communication with the
Regulator and has also put in place appropriate internal procedures to raise awareness amongst its employees and ensure the regulations are correctly implemented within the organisation.

2. What Data Do We Collect?

We will collect personal data that you provide us via our website, through our contact forms, our mobile sites and mobile apps, when you complete an online form, when you sign up for any information, when you apply for a job position, when you make contact with ZEST or when you send data to us in any other way.

In these cases, we may collect data as defined in the definition of “personal information” Chapter 1 of POPIA.

3. Why Do We Collect Data?

The personal data collected is used for the purposes for which they were provided. As an example, if you make use of our. contact form or provide your data to get downloads, we will use the data provided only to respond to your query and/or send the content you asked for. If you apply for a job position, we may keep this information or even ask for more details.

4. How Our Services Are Connected To Social Media?

We respect your social media settings and collect only those you have agreed to leave publicly or shared with ZEST. Data shared with ZEST can be used for communication with the goal of improving the communication of the company with its public, thus ensuring the availability of content relevant to your business as innovative products and services. Whenever ZEST wishes to obtain additional information on the social media sites and/or wish to carry out some promotional action, it will do so in a clear manner where you may consent to the use of your information by ZEST.

ZEST part of a global electronic equipment company, operating mainly in the capital goods sector, where its clients are companies of different segments.

ZEST declares that it handles only Business to Business data. You are not required to disclose your personal information when you purchase a product or service from us. However, to provide products and/or services, it may be necessary for you to disclose some of your personal data to us.

Individual companies in the ZEST group may share your personal data with our affiliates within the group.

In accordance with this privacy statement and as permitted by law, ZEST may use third parties for certain services. As far as third parties use your personal data for carrying out their services, they have the permission of ZEST and ZEST has taken all the necessary technical and organisational precautionary measures to ensure that your personal data is only used for the purposes mentioned before.

ZEST does not sell personal data to third parties, nor will it give your personal data to third parties, other than as specified above or on the basis that we are obligated by law (e.g. in the event of a lawful request by a court or law enforcement authorities).

ZEST is committed to storing your personal data no longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was processed.

This retention period depends on the purpose for which the data is being processed by ZEST and takes into account regulations, or other legal requirements which impose a specific retention period for certain categories of data.

Your personal data will be de-identified/destroyed when the data is no longer needed for the processing purposes as mentioned in this privacy statement.

In case certain personal data is needed for a legal claim or other legal issue, ZEST will retain this data as long as that issue is ongoing.

If you make use of our contact form, we will keep your data as long as we deliver our services to you or as long as we are in a service-relation.
